Abhishek Bansal
Chief Sustainability Manager, Arvind

Abhishek Bansal is Chief Sustainability Manager at Arvind Limited and looks after various Sustainability initiatives of the group. He is devising the strategy to reduce the chemical & water footprint of the organization and leading several innovative practices in the textile manufacturing industry. Prior to this position he has worked in the Sustainability & Environmental Consulting domain for more than ten years. He has helped several large corporates to define the Sustainability Strategy and assisted in Implementation of various renewable energy and energy efficiency initiatives. In previous roles, he also worked with a Swiss not-for-profit, and helped them define their Cities program for Sustainable Development of large cities in Developing countries. Based out of India, Abhishek holds Masters degree in Environment & Sustainability management from NITIE, Mumbai.



Ajay Sardana
Chief Sustainability Officer, GRASIM, Aditya Birla Group

Ajay Sardana currently leads sustainability initiatives of Grasim Industries Ltd. Before this he has held many different positions in the same company where his profile ranged from heading the Textile Research & Application Development Centre (TRADC) to working closely with the Business Director for the overseas spinning business. Having travelled extensively in Indian textile hubs and global textile markets and has in-depth knowledge of Fibre Manufacturing, Spinning, Weaving /Knitting & Processing and has skills to resolve techno-commercial issues.



Anjani Prasad
Managing Director, Archroma India

Anjani Prasad is Managing Director of Archroma India and is also the company’s global lead for inkjet projects. A chemistry graduate and Chartered Colorist, he began his career in 1983 at Century Mills, where he developed a new process of Aniline Black dyeing, which received two patents. After service with BTRA, he joined Clariant (India) Ltd in 1991, rising by 2010 to be country head for textile business and later global head of new business development for Clariant International, based in Singapore. He took on his latest role in August 2015. Mr Prasad has published more than 100 articles and presented more than 100 papers in major seminars and conferences in India and all key textile markets. He is a member of the Bureau of Indian Standards, and a trustee of SDC International.



Carmen Chan
Senior Corporate Responsibility Manager, Tesco Sourcing

Carmen Chan joined Tesco International Sourcing Ltd in 2008 and has developed her career from Technical to Corporate Responsibility. Her role is to provide social and environmental stewardship for F&F clothing brand, ensuring the issues relevant to the industry and stakeholders are core to the business strategy so as to build trust for the customers and the communities it is operating in. She represents Tesco Sourcing as brand council member in ZDHC as well as being the program lead. From May 2016, she has taken up the role of co-lead for ZDHC training focus area. Her key achievements are in developing KPI management system, business process value improvement, developing innovative strategies for supply chain implementation, etc.





Dr Jaideep Dudhbhate
Consultant – Environmental Expert

Dr Jaideep Dudhbhate has over 35+ years experience in the field of wastewater treatment & recycle.  During his career he has worked in different companies like A.T.E., Sudarshan Chemicals , Pudumjee pulp & paper mill etc. in multiple  roles. Now as a Consultant he works with manufacturing units in process industries for their treatment plant performance improvement and trouble shooting. He also works closely with manufacturers of ETP / STP / UF RO (recycle) systems for preparation of treatment scheme, designing,    engineering, commissioning & trouble shooting, existing ETP audits etc. He has developed customised effluent treatment solutions to different industrial wastewater and has successfully completed over 200 such projects.




Liz Manning
Business Development Manager, Catexel

Liz Manning is Business Development Manager at Catexel. After achieving a first class master’s degree in chemistry from the University of York in the UK and an MBA, Liz worked in the research team at DSM in the Netherlands. In 2006 Liz joined Hockley International as a technical manger before taking on more commercial roles at chemical specialists MEL Chemicals and later, pharmaceutical supplier Thompson & Capper. Her latest role at Catexel focuses on the delivery of customer sales plans and new business development, in the field of textiles, as well as other sectors such as detergents and paints and coatings. Based in Manchester, UK, Liz has presented on technical subjects such as zirconium chemistry and water treatment across the world.


Mukesh Matta
Vice President Business Development, Pratibha  Syntex

Mukesh Matta is VP Business Development & Sustainable Initiatives at Pratibha Syntex Ltd, where his role includes initiating new business relationships and integrating sustainability in day-to-day business. He joined the company in 2008 as business head for fabrics and was later promoted to VP Marketing for yarns, fabrics and domestic garments. His earlier career includes service with both Ginni Filaments Ltd and Shivalik Global Ltd (Shyamtex). Mr Matta graduates in engineering from the Textiles Institute of Technology and Science and has an MBA from the Institute of Management Studies, DAVV, Indore.



Dr Nupur Bahadur
Associate Professor, Amity Institute of Nanotechnology, Amity University Noida

Dr Nupur Bahadur is Associate Professor in Amity Institute of Nanotechnology, Amity University Noida. She obtained her PhD in Photochemistry & Photocatalysis from Department of Chemistry, IIT Roorkee, in 2005 and has over 15 years’ experience in the area of ‘TiO2 mediated Heterogeneous Photocatalysis’ as an Advanced Oxidation Process (AOP) towards complete treatment and mineralization of organic pollutants, dyes, dye intermediates and heavy metals present in an effluent matrix. Dr Bahadur has three patents to her credit and developed systems and protocols for treatment of textile & dyeing industry effluents that lead to negligible sludge generation, and are clean and cost-effective. This technology won First Prize at National Level in the category Design & Manufacturing Technologies for ‘Make in India’ in the Young Scientists Conference during India International Science Festival (IISF-2015). Recently her technology was transferred to a company for roll-out at pilot scale.



Dr Siva Pariti
Global Technical program manager, Sustainable Textile Soultions

Dr.Siva is Global Technical Programme Manager in STS. His role involves conceptualizing and implementing the services wing to achieve the targets set by their clients and synchronizing service operations for rendering and achieving quality services. He has experience in conducting training programs on chemical management, textile processing, coloration modules, audits for environmental improvement, optimisation of processing and ZDHC compliance for brands and retailers and their supply chain partners globally. Former Chief Operating Officer of The Society of Dyers and Colourists (SDC) in India and former Adjunct lecturer in U.D.C.T., in Dyestuffs and Intermediate department.

Suvarnareha Jadhav
Consultant – Natural Dyes

Suvarnareha Jadhav has completed her Masters from the Dept of Post Graduate Studies and Research in Drawing and Painting from SNDT Women's University and holds a Diploma in Textile Design from Sophia Polytechnic, Mumbai with more than 25 years of experience in Textile Designing using surface design techniques and natural dyes. She has actively participated in an array of workshops and conferences including the Poster Presentation at the DHA 26 (Dyes in History and Archaeology) Conference in Vienna, Austria, in Nov 2007 – ("Ganjifa – Rejuvenation of the Ancient Card Game of India") and International Symposium on Natural Dyes (2006). She has been actively involved with fashion / export houses and has designed fabric for fashion brands like Manafidji, Paris-Fiji.



Ullhas Nimkar 
Chairman and Managing Director, NimkarTek Technical Services Pvt. Ltd.

Ullhas Nimkar is the Chairman and Managing Director of NimkarTek Technical Services Pvt. Ltd.  ‘NimkarTek’ delivers online and in-person training and consultancy in chemical management to the global Textile, Apparel and the Chemicals Industry in the area of Sustainability. Mr Nimkar is a Chartered Colourist, a Fellow of the Society of Dyers & Colourists UK and erstwhile founder of Texanlab Laboratories Pvt Ltd, India’s premier Textile Testing Laboratory providing advanced performance testing and analysis of Restricted Substances (RSL) in Apparel, Textiles, Dyes & Chemicals. He was the first Vice President (India) of the Society of Dyers and Colourists, a Silver Medallist and has been a member of the Society’s Trustee Board in the UK. He is a founder Trustee of the SDC Education Charity in India and holds Honorary Fellowship of the Textile Association of India.



Yogesh Gaikwad
Director, SDC International Limited

Yogesh Gaikwad has more than 18 years of experience in coloration of textiles as an application expert and a trainer for Colour Management courses run by the SDC. He also has business management and development experience in both the private and public sector. Mr Gaikwad studied at the SASMIRA college, where he gained DMTC (diploma in manmade textile chemistry) and DMMT (diploma in management and marketing of textiles) qualifications. In 1994 he joined Morarjee Mills as a shift manager, gaining experience in various dyeing technologies and, in 1999, moved to Colourtex as Marketing Manager. From 2003 her worked at DyStar India, where he helped clients improve their productivity and meet retailers’ requirements and was responsible for developing the dyes and auxiliary business in synthetic fibres. He currently works for SDC-UK as Business Manager, ASEAN region, and is a trainer for SDC Colour Management courses. He is also responsible for marketing and for executing training and consultancy programmes for dye-houses and retailers.
